### Giants' Offensive Struggles Intensify with Key Player Absences

The New York Giants are set to face a tough challenge this Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks as they will be without their top offensive player, Malik Nabers. Head coach Brian Daboll confirmed that Nabers won't clear the NFL concussion protocol in time for the game. "He's making progress, but he's not gonna make it," Daboll said, emphasizing the importance of player safety above all.

Nabers' absence is a significant blow to the Giants' offense. The rookie wide receiver leads the team with 35 receptions and 386 receiving yards over the first four games of the season and has been the most-targeted player in the NFL, averaging 13.0 targets per game. Without him, the Giants lose a critical component of their attack.

Additionally, the Giants might also be without their leading rusher, Devin Singletary, who is dealing with a groin injury. Although listed as doubtful, Singletary participated in Friday’s practice to some extent, and his availably remains a game-time decision. "If I really feel like I'm comfortable to go, I'm gonna go," Singletary stated.

On a more positive note, cornerbacks Adoree' Jackson and Dru Phillips are showing signs of improvement after missing last week's game due to calf injuries. Daboll mentioned they are "trending in the right direction."

In the absence of Nabers, other wide receivers such as Jalin Hyatt, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, and Bryce Ford-Wheaton are expected to step up. Veteran Isaiah Hodgins, currently on the practice squad, may also be elevated to the active roster. "These other guys that have taken reps, mainly Hyatt has done a nice job this week. Ihmir has been in there taking some reps, as has Bryce Ford," Daboll noted. "Those guys are preparing, been preparing all week, and when their number's called, expect them to go out there and know what to do and do it at a high level."

The Giants’ offense, already struggling with an average of only 15.0 points per game (ranked 29th in the league), faces an added challenge with these potential absences. However, Daboll remains confident. "Every team deals with injuries, and you prepare the other guys that are backups to go out there and perform at a high level," he said. "We have a lot of confidence in the guys that are behind them. That's just an opportunity for them to go out there and play at a high level."

If Singletary is unable to play, rookie Tyrone Tracy and second-year player Eric Gray will share the rushing duties. Rookie Dante Miller, currently on the practice squad, may also be considered for elevation to the game day roster.
