The news comes from a recent report detailing the camera specifications of the upcoming flagship lineup.

Rumors have also emerged suggesting that Samsung may exclusively use Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips to power the Galaxy S25 series. Noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has stated that "Qualcomm will likely be the sole SoC supplier for the Samsung Galaxy S25." This move could potentially phase out the use of Samsung's Exynos chips in their flagship devices.

However, the transition to Snapdragon chips might come at a cost. A tipster on the Weibo social platform warns that the Galaxy S25 series could be priced higher than usual due to the higher manufacturing costs associated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.

The processor for the Galaxy S25, expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, is anticipated to be unveiled in October 2024 during Qualcomm's annual Snapdragon Summit event. This event, which will take place in Hawaii, is where Qualcomm traditionally announces its latest chipsets.

Sadly, those hoping for a larger battery in the Galaxy S25 may be disappointed. According to reports, Samsung is testing the device with the same battery specifications as the Galaxy S24, indicating that the smallest Galaxy S25 model will not have an upgrade in battery capacity. The battery is expected to have a rated capacity of 3,881 mAh, which translates to an advertised typical capacity of 4,000 mAh.

However, there is a glimmer of hope for camera enthusiasts. It appears that Samsung is finally making strides in camera innovation with the Galaxy S25 Ultra variant. Fans who have been longing for a camera upgrade will be pleased to hear that the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to come with significant improvements in its camera hardware.

The Galaxy S25 series is highly anticipated among smartphone enthusiasts, and with the news of potential camera upgrades and the switch to Snapdragon chips, there is a lot of excitement surrounding Samsung's forthcoming flagship lineup.
