Monte Harrison, known for his baseball career spanning nearly a decade, will now be donning the Razorbacks' colors as a wide receiver. The decision marks a significant shift for Harrison, who aims to showcase his skills on the football field.

Back in 2014, Harrison was ranked as a 4-star prospect and the No. 7 player in the state of Missouri during his high school days, as reported by 247Sports. He displayed his versatility on the field, recording impressive stats that included 60 catches for 1,007 yards and 13 touchdowns, along with 198 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns, and even a passing touchdown during his senior season.

Originally committed to the University of Nebraska, Harrison's plans took a different direction when he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the second round of the MLB draft in the same year. Prioritizing a career in baseball, he put football on hold and embarked on his journey through the minor leagues.

However, success in the MLB did not come easy for Harrison. It took him six years of perseverance before finally making his major league debut in 2020 with the Miami Marlins. During his 32-game stint that season, he posted a batting average of .170 along with one home run and three RBIs. The following year, Harrison had a brief appearance in nine games before being sent down to the Triple-A league.

In April 2022, the gifted athlete signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels. After making his way back to the majors in June of the same year, he played nine games before eventually being designated for assignment by the Angels. As the 2023 season unfolded, Harrison found himself returning to the Milwaukee Brewers on a minor league deal, where he played 88 games for the Triple-A Nashville Sounds.
