In a public hearing on Wednesday, two former associates of Hunter Biden testified before the House Oversight and Judiciary Committee. Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis answered a round of intense "yes or no" questions regarding President Biden's alleged involvement in his son's business dealings.
During her allotted time, Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., directed her questions to Bobulinski and Galanis. She sought to verify various interactions between President Biden, Hunter, and their business associates, including phone calls where Hunter updated his father on specific business deals, the confirmation of a reserved board seat for Biden at a company, Biden's denial of meeting with Hunter's business partners, and allegations of receiving money from Chinese business interests. To each question, both Bobulinski and Galanis answered "yes."
Mace concluded her questioning by stating, "Joe Biden has repeatedly claimed that he was not involved in any Biden family business deals. Today, our witnesses have proved otherwise."
The hearing went into recess at around 1:45 p.m. ET to allow members to vote on the House floor. Meanwhile, Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., seized the opportunity to taunt committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio. Moskowitz challenged them to hold a vote on impeaching President Biden, claiming that they would do so if they truly believed they had enough evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors.
During his turn to question the witnesses, Moskowitz asked Bobulinski if he believed Biden had committed high crimes and misdemeanors and should be impeached. Bobulinski responded, "I believe with all the evidence he's gathered, yes, he's proven that Joe Biden has committed high crimes and misdemeanors." When asked if he believed Biden should be impeached, Bobulinski initially deflected, saying, "Well, that's up to you guys." However, after being pressed by Moskowitz, Bobulinski eventually stated that he did believe Biden should be impeached.
Moskowitz further questioned whether Comer and Jordan had proven Biden's alleged high crimes and misdemeanors. However, the response to this particular query was not provided in the given information.
The hearing and the exchange between lawmakers shed light on the ongoing controversy surrounding Hunter Biden's business dealings and allegations of potential influence peddling within President Biden's family. The testimonies of Bobulinski and Galanis, expressing their knowledge of and alleged interactions with the Bidens, provide a basis for further questioning and investigation into these serious allegations.
