Former child actor Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role as Brad Taylor on the '90s sitcom "Home Improvement," was arrested over the weekend in Riverside County. The arrest took place when deputies conducted a traffic stop in La Quinta, where they observed indications of impairment and subsequently arrested the 42-year-old for driving under the influence with previous offenses. Bryan was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio on charges of DUI and contempt of court. His bail was set at $50,000 for the DUI charge and $15,000 for contempt of court. Records indicate that Bryan made bail the same day. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 23 at the Indio Larson Justice Center.
This recent arrest is the latest legal trouble for Bryan, who faced domestic violence, robbery, and harassment charges in Lane County, Oregon, in July 2023. He was also previously arrested in October 2020 for assault-related charges involving his girlfriend. Despite most charges being dropped, Bryan pleaded guilty to assault and menacing charges in 2021, receiving 36 months of probation and a $200 fine. His most recent work was in the 2022 film "The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!)."
Bryan's legal woes have made headlines over the years, with the former actor discussing his past arrests with The Hollywood Reporter in June 2023. Bryan reflected on the legal process, acknowledging the pressure to plead guilty.
