**Kanye West Faces Lawsuit Over Alleged Drugging, Sexual Assault by Former Assistant**
Kanye West's former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, has taken legal action against the rapper, alleging that he drugged and sexually assaulted her during a studio session. Pisciotta, who worked with West from 2021 to 2022, claims that she was given a laced drink at West's request, leading to the alleged assault.
In an amended complaint accessed by PEOPLE, Pisciotta asserts that the incident occurred at a studio session in Santa Monica, California, which was co-hosted by Sean "Diddy" Combs. Pisciotta accompanied a former artist management client to the event, where drinks were distributed, and attendees were told that they had to drink if they wanted to stay. Although Combs was co-hosting the event, Pisciotta has not accused him of any wrongdoing.
The complaint narrates that a studio assistant handed Pisciotta the drink, allegedly at West's direction. After consuming a few sips, Pisciotta felt disoriented and entered a heavily impaired state, eventually losing memory of the night. She recalls waking up the next morning feeling physically ill and confused, plagued by embarrassment for not remembering the aftermath of consuming the drink.
Years later, after joining West's team as an assistant and eventually Chief of Staff, Pisciotta claims that West referenced the night in conversation, suggesting they "hooked up a little" at the studio session. West reportedly laughed when Pisciotta said she had no memory of the incident, remarking that "women love to say they don't remember."
Pisciotta's complaint also describes another troubling incident in July 2021, during an "album workshop" at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco. She alleges that West aggressively pounded on her hotel room door early in the morning, forced his way in under the pretense of needing to use her shower, and then exposed himself to her, attempting to thrust his naked body onto her. He ignored her pleas to stop and left only after a brief apology.
The lawsuit claims that Pisciotta had to endure explicit messages, pornographic materials, and other forms of harassment from West during her tenure, culminating in her wrongful termination. She was fired just a month after being promoted to Chief of Staff in September 2022.
This lawsuit adds to the growing list of legal troubles for West, who also faces another complaint filed in April 2024 by a former employee alleging severe discrimination and harassment at his Yeezy company and Donda Academy. Another former staff member has filed a lawsuit this week, citing emotional distress, retaliation, and labor code violations.
