The New England Patriots are gearing up for their third training camp session on Friday morning. Coming off two intense practices, the players will once again hit the field behind Gillette Stadium. Although still in the acclimation phase, the session is expected to be highly competitive.

Here are five players to keep an eye on during Friday's practice:

1. QB Joe Milton III and QB Bailey Zappe: Thursday's quarterback rotation saw a change, with Milton stepping in as the next man up behind Jacoby Brissett and Drake Maye. This switch raises questions about the future of Zappe and whether this change could be permanent. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues during Friday's practice.

2. OT Caedan Wallace: In addition to the quarterback shakeup, there was also a change at right tackle on Thursday. Vederian Lowe replaced Calvin Anderson as the top option. If this rotation continues, third-round rookie Caedan Wallace may find himself getting more playing time with the starters. Wallace has previously impressed when lining up with the top offensive line during mandatory minicamp.

3. DT Davon Godchaux: The status of Godchaux remains uncertain as he was effectively a non-participant in Thursday's practice. The defensive tackle arrived late and observed from the sidelines. This raises questions about a possible contract hold-in situation. Friday's practice may provide some clarity on the matter.

4. S Brenden Schooler: While Kyle Dugger and Jabrill Peppers dominate the safety depth chart, it remains to be seen how the Patriots will utilize their other defensive backs. Brenden Schooler has seen an increase in defensive reps recently and was part of several starter-level groups on Thursday, especially with Marte Mapu limited. Keep an eye on Schooler as he aims to make an impact on both defense and special teams.

The practice is scheduled to commence at 11 a.m. ET and is anticipated to last approximately two hours. Following the session, quarterbacks Jacoby Brissett, Drake Maye, Joe Milton, and Bailey Zappe will hold media availabilities, providing further insight into their performances and progress during training camp.

Stay tuned for more updates from Patriots training camp as these five players and the rest of the team continue their preparation for the upcoming season.
