In an unexpected turn of events, the studio of popular talk show, 'The View', was evacuated on Wednesday due to a fire that broke out on the neighboring set of the Tamron Hall show. The incident prompted the cohosts of 'The View' to swiftly exit the building, much to the surprise of the audience.

The news of the evacuation was announced by talk show host, Whoopi Goldberg, who addressed the audience after they had walked out to the table to the tune of Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire". Goldberg revealed that the cause of the fire was still unknown, leaving everyone perplexed as to how it started and why.

An image shown on the show depicted Joy Behar wearing sunglasses, signaling the moment when 'The View' staff was forced to evacuate the premises onto the bustling New York City streets. Another photo showcased Goldberg standing on a nearby curb, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.

Among the cohosts, Ana Navarro, who was filling in for Sara Haines, recounted her experience of arriving at the studio from the airport. She had expected to find her colleagues on the Zoom meeting, only to be met with darkness, an alarm, and flashing lights. Despite the initial shock, Navarro managed to find humor in the situation, exclaiming, "I thought, holy hell!"

The evacuation prompted some lighthearted banter among the cohosts. Conservative cohost, Alyssa Farah Griffin, admitted that the incident made her realize her priorities. With a playful tone, she joked, "Once I saw that all the hosts were fine, I was like, 'Where is my glam team?' Leave Brian, but as long as hair and makeup is safe!"

Legal expert Sunny Hostin shared her own humorous moment, admitting that she had left her purse in her dressing room but was relieved to have remembered her cell phone before leaving the studio. Goldberg chimed in, revealing that she grabbed her purse as well before emphasizing that Tamron Hall was not responsible for the fire.

Earlier in the day, Tamron Hall released a video announcing that a grease fire had occurred in the kitchen of her show's Upper West Side location. The New York City Fire Department responded to the incident around 8:42 a.m. local time. According to a spokesperson, the fire was caused by burnt food left on the stove. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the situation was handled swiftly with the help of approximately 12 personnel.

Entertainment Weekly reached out to representatives for both 'The View' and the Tamron Hall show for further comments. As of now, there has been no response from either party.

'The View' continues to air on weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC, with hopes of returning to its normal routine after the unexpected disruption caused by the neighboring fire.
