**Week 4 Fantasy Football: Key Running Back Insights and Potential Flex Picks**

As we approach Week 4 of the NFL season, several running backs are attracting attention due to injuries and matchups, presenting unique opportunities for Fantasy Football enthusiasts. Notably, Kansas City Chiefs' Steele is expected to lead the backfield again, despite the activation of Kareem Hunt. In Week 3 against Atlanta, Steele impressed with 17 carries for 72 yards and a catch for 2 yards. Given the Chargers’ injury woes, the Chiefs might rely heavily on Steele again this week. The Chargers’ defense has already allowed two running backs to tally at least 13.6 PPR points this season.

Fantasy managers should also keep an eye on the status of Houston's Joe Mixon (ankle) and Dameon Pierce (hamstring), both of whom missed practice on Wednesday. In their absence, Akers stepped in during Week 3 against Minnesota but had limited success, managing nine carries for 21 yards and a touchdown reception. Houston’s offense struggled, but the upcoming game against the Jaguars, who have allowed three running backs to score 13.6 PPR points this season, could provide better opportunities for Akers.

For the New York Jets, Allen has been a consistent contributor as the No. 2 running back behind Breece Hall. With scores of at least 9.8 PPR points in his last two games, including two touchdowns and five receptions on seven targets, Allen makes a compelling case as a flex option. The Jets face the Broncos this week, a team that has allowed two running backs to score at least 8.1 PPR points per game this season.

In Tampa Bay, the running back situation could be on the verge of a shift. Irving has outperformed Rachaad White this season, averaging 6.4 yards per carry compared to White’s 2.1 yards per carry. While White has contributed in the passing game with 12 catches for 98 yards, Irving’s robust ground performance suggests he could be taking over, potentially starting in Week 4. Tampa Bay might consider utilizing White more in third-down situations moving forward.

Lastly, Hill presents an intriguing flex option due to the potentially high-scoring nature of the Bills-Ravens matchup. With an expected point total of 46.5, this game might necessitate Baltimore to frequently rely on their passing game. Hill's role could be significant, especially given that the Bills have allowed substantial receptions to running backs this season. Hill's ability to contribute to the passing game could be beneficial, as the Bills rank fourth in the most receptions given up to running backs.

As lineup decisions loom, monitoring these scenarios could provide a strategic edge in Fantasy Football leagues.
