Elvira, the famed Mistress of the Dark, recently recounted her less-than-pleasant experience meeting pop sensation Ariana Grande. During a Q&A session at Knott's Scary Farm, Elvira, whose real name is Cassandra Peterson, humorously alluded to her worst celebrity encounter by saying the name rhymed with “Pariana Mande.” The audience quickly caught on, and Peterson shared details of her interaction with the Grammy-winning singer.

According to Peterson, Grande attended her show with a sizable entourage, bringing along 20 guests and requesting 21 tickets, which Peterson happily provided. Before the show began, Peterson welcomed Grande and her guests backstage, where the pop star asked Elvira to take photos and sign autographs for everyone in her group — a request she graciously fulfilled.

However, when Peterson asked Grande for a photo together, she was taken aback by the singer’s refusal. Mimicking a valley girl accent, Peterson recalled Grande’s response: “No, I don’t really do that.” To make matters worse, Grande left the venue before Peterson’s show even started, although her guests stayed to watch.

Adding a humorous twist to the tale, the event's moderator, Jeff Tucker, quipped about Grande’s upcoming role as Glinda the Good Witch in the film "Wicked," suggesting she might be playing the wrong witch.

This isn’t the first time Peterson has openly shared her candid opinions on celebrity interactions. In 2022, she subtly shaded Kylie Jenner after the reality star dressed up as her iconic Elvira character for Halloween without crediting her. While Peterson found Jenner’s costume flattering, she noted it would have been even more so if Jenner had tagged her in the posts. On social media, Peterson shared a meme comparing her original look to Jenner’s version and remarked in the comments that some recognition would have been appreciated.
