Double Homicide in Northeast Nebraska Leads to Two Arrests

In northeast Nebraska, state troopers have identified the victims of a tragic double homicide in Bloomfield, Knox County. The incident occurred at Curt's Lanes and Dining, a local bowling alley, around 9:30 a.m. The victims have been identified as 77-year-old Curtis Strom and 49-year-old William Reffett, both found with apparent gunshot wounds.
The Nebraska State Patrol has reported that 25-year-old Alias Reed has been arrested on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the crime. Additionally, 27-year-old Kaylyne Sweazy, Reed's girlfriend, has been taken into custody for tampering with evidence.
According to investigators, Reed arrived at the bowling alley armed with a shotgun and engaged in an altercation with Reffett before fatally shooting both victims. Notably, Strom was not involved in the initial argument. Reed and Sweazy later disposed of the weapon in a ditch along County Road, located several miles west of Bloomfield.
The community of Bloomfield is left shocked and saddened by this senseless act of violence as law enforcement continues to piece together the details surrounding this tragic event.
