### Dolphins Turn to Huntley to Revive Season Amid Injuries
The Miami Dolphins are hoping Tyler "Snoop" Huntley can help salvage their season as the team grapples with significant injuries to key quarterbacks. With starters Tua Tagovailoa and Kyler Thompson sidelined, Huntley is set to make his debut for the Dolphins against the Tennessee Titans on "Monday Night Football," head coach Mike McDaniel announced on Saturday.
Tagovailoa suffered a concussion in Miami's Week 2 defeat to the Buffalo Bills and remains without a clear return date. Thompson, who took over as the starting quarterback, injured his ribs during last Sunday's 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, necessitating his mid-game replacement by Tim Boyle. Boyle’s performance yielded modest results, completing 7 of 13 passes for 79 yards.
Huntley joined the Dolphins after four successful seasons backing up Lamar Jackson with the Baltimore Ravens. During his tenure in Baltimore, Huntley made a notable impact, even earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2022 after stepping up following an injury to Jackson and helping guide the Ravens to the playoffs. His overall record stands at 3-6 in regular season games and 0-1 in post-season outings.
Known for his mobility and knack for extending plays, Huntley's play style mirrors that of Jackson, albeit with a tendency to take more sacks and an issue with fumbling. Despite these drawbacks, his ability to break off long runs at any moment will be a key asset as the Dolphins look to get back on track.
Standing at 1-2, the Dolphins face a must-win situation to stay competitive among the AFC's playoff hopefuls. The team will also be missing cornerback Kendall Fuller and offensive tackle Terron Armstead, who have both been ruled out. However, Miami still boasts one of the NFL’s top receiving duos in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, giving Huntley formidable targets as he looks to make a strong first impression.
