Dodge has officially revealed its highly anticipated 2024 Charger Daytona EV, solidifying its position as the pioneer of electric muscle cars. With the tagline of being the "world's first and only electric muscle car," the Charger Daytona EV aims to redefine performance and sustainability in the automotive industry.

Under the leadership of Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand CEO, the new Charger Daytona EV promises to deliver Hellcat Redeye levels of performance while leaving behind zero tailpipe emissions. The electric vehicle will be powered by Stellantis' STLA Large platform, which will also be used in the upcoming Jeep EVs.

One of the standout features of the Charger Daytona EV is its all-wheel drive system, ensuring optimal traction and performance. The 400V propulsion system boasts instant torque and is equipped with a high-voltage battery pack, a dual-integrated charge module, and front and rear EDMs. These components generate an impressive 355 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque.

To cater to different performance preferences, the Charger Daytona EV offers six performance levels. The base model, the Daytona R/T, comes with a Direct Connection Stage 1 upgrade kit that adds an extra 40 horsepower, resulting in a total output of 496 hp. For those seeking even more power, the Daytona Scat Pack, with its Stage 2 kit, cranks up the performance to a remarkable 670 horsepower. This increased power allows the Charger Daytona EV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and cover a quarter-mile in around 11.5 seconds.

Dodge has ensured that the Charger Daytona EV maintains its iconic muscular stance with a widebody design reminiscent of its predecessors. The front R-Wing, a patent-pending feature, pays homage to the original Charger Daytona design while enhancing downforce by enabling airflow through a pass-through area. The inclusion of the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system provides the signature Hellcat sound intensity, with the option for a stealth mode for a quieter ride.

Inside the Charger Daytona EV, drivers will find a driver display ranging from 10.25 inches to an available 16 inches, along with a 12.3-inch center infotainment screen. The interior features linework and textures inspired by the classic 1968 Dodge Charger instrument panel. The new electric Charger also introduces the Attitude Adjustment interior lighting system, offering 64 colors that react to various actions like opening doors or starting the car.

In terms of range and charging capabilities, the Charger Daytona EV is expected to provide over 317 miles of range, while the Scat Pack variant offers a slightly lower range of 260 miles. Recharging from 20% to 80% can be achieved in just over 27 minutes.

Production of the two-door coupe 2024 Charger Daytona EV Scat Pack and R/T will commence in mid-2024, followed by the four-door Scat Pack and R/T models in the first quarter of 2025. Additionally, Dodge plans to introduce gas-powered variants, including a two-door Charger SIXPACK H.O and a four-door Charger SIXPACK S.O, in 2025.

As the automotive industry continues its shift towards electrification and sustainability, Dodge's introduction of the 2024 Charger Daytona EV marks a significant milestone in the evolution of muscle cars. Combining raw power and eco-consciousness, the Charger Daytona EV is set to revolutionize the world of high-performance electric vehicles.
