### Deshaun Watson Faces Scrutiny as Cleveland Browns Falter

Deshaun Watson, quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, is under intense scrutiny following the team's 34-13 defeat to the Washington Commanders. This loss has left the Browns with a dismal 1-4 record for the season. Washington Commanders linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. was a key player in the Commanders' victory, having sacked Watson during the game.

Several notable figures in the NFL community, such as former star Rob Gronkowski and ex-coach Jason Garrett, have publicly suggested that Watson be benched. Yet, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski remains resolute, intending to stick with Watson for the time being.

Watson's current performance raises serious concerns, as he is on a trajectory to potentially break two unfavorable NFL records. Thus far, he has been sacked 26 times in just five games, which extrapolates to a staggering 88 times by the end of the season. This would significantly surpass the existing single-season record of 76 sacks, set by David Carr in 2002.

Additionally, Watson stands to set a dubious record for the most yards lost due to sacks. Having already lost 154 yards, he could end the season with 524 yards lost, exceeding Randall Cunningham's 1986 record of 489 yards.

Apart from these grim milestones, Watson’s statistical performance has been underwhelming, completing 106 of 176 passes for 852 yards, with five touchdowns and three interceptions. His current QBR of 21 is the lowest in the league.

Should the Browns decide to make a change at quarterback, Jameis Winston stands ready as the backup to take over the reins. For now, all eyes remain on Watson and whether he can turn around what has been a rough start to the season.
