### Cowboys Edge Giants in Injury-Marred Thursday Night Showdown

The Dallas Cowboys snapped their losing streak with a gritty 20-15 victory over the New York Giants on Thursday night, a contest that left both teams nursing significant injuries. The win marks Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s 13th consecutive triumph over the Giants, despite the game being anything but smooth sailing.

Defense was the cornerstone of Dallas' performance, particularly after struggling in their previous outings against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens. The Cowboys' defense effectively neutralized the Giants' ground game, restricting them to a mere 26 yards on 24 attempts. This forced Giants quarterback Daniel Jones to rely heavily on the passing game, where rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers emerged as a standout with 12 receptions for 115 yards. However, this effort alone couldn't compensate for the Giants' inability to reach the end zone when it mattered most.

Prescott exhibited a strong performance, completing 22 of 27 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns. CeeDee Lamb contributed significantly with 98 receiving yards and a touchdown, providing the offensive support needed to secure the win.

Injuries cast a shadow over the game, affecting both teams deeply. The Cowboys saw defensive stalwarts Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs, and DeMarcus Lawrence leave the game due to various injuries. For the Giants, Nabers exited in the fourth quarter with a concussion, adding to their struggles as they attempted a comeback.

Key moments in the game included several missed opportunities for the Giants, such as a failed 4th-and-6 attempt when Nabers couldn’t secure a critical catch, and Jones being intercepted near the end zone. Even Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, who is one of the best in the league, missed his first-ever attempt at a 50-plus yard field goal, though it ultimately did not affect the final outcome.

Both teams will now look to regroup and recover from this bruising encounter, hoping their star players will be fit to return soon. As they both sit at 1-2 for the season, the road ahead in the NFC East remains challenging.
