**Cowboys Face Quarterback Dilemma as Prescott Sidelined with Hamstring Injury**

In a significant blow to their season, the Dallas Cowboys will be without their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott, for an undetermined period. Ian Rapoport from NFL Media reported that Prescott's hamstring injury will keep him off the field for multiple weeks. Prescott is currently seeking a second opinion, but early indications are that this is not a short-term issue.

The injury occurred during the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Prescott sustained the injury to his right leg while attempting an incomplete pass. After the game, Prescott mentioned that he "felt something pull" and that it was "something I've never felt," highlighting the unusual nature of the injury.

Although Prescott was also shown with an injury to his right hand during the Fox broadcast, team owner Jerry Jones clarified postgame that the hand injury is not a concern.

Given the Cowboys' current standing at 3-5 and still in the playoff race, it is expected that Cooper Rush will step in as starting quarterback during Prescott’s absence. Additionally, the team has Trey Lance, the No. 3 overall pick from 2021, on the roster, although he has not played in a regular-season game since 2022.

The Cowboys are set to host the 6-2 Eagles next Sunday, posing a challenging task ahead for whoever starts under center.
