**Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott Faces Serious Injury, Seeks Multiple Opinions**
Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy has confirmed that Dak Prescott, the team's quarterback, is dealing with a significant injury. Prescott is currently consulting with various medical experts following a preliminary diagnosis that suggests he has suffered a partial avulsion of his hamstring tendon. This condition involves the tendon partially detaching from the bone.
"He's still going through the process," McCarthy stated on Thursday, according to Schuyler Dixon of the Associated Press. "I visited with him again this morning on it. He's still collecting information, different opinions, and that will continue through next week. But he's here every day."
The Cowboys have definitively ruled out Prescott for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Earlier in the week, team owner Jerry Jones mentioned that they expect to place Prescott on injured reserve. Despite the severity of his injury, Prescott is hopeful about returning to the field this season.
"I think that would be his goal," McCarthy said, addressing Prescott's aspirations. "I know he wants to keep playing, but I think it's important to go through the process and gather all of the information. This is obviously a serious injury."
As the Cowboys move forward without their star quarterback, the team and its fans are left hoping for a thorough and swift recovery for Prescott.
