**Title:** Cowboys Face Roster Uncertainties Ahead of Mandatory Minicamp

With the Dallas Cowboys approaching their mandatory minicamp, All-Pro defensive end Micah Parsons has been in and out of the team's voluntary OTA sessions as he negotiates a potential contract extension. Cowboys co-owner and COO Stephen Jones was reticent about the progress of these discussions, stating only, "No different than anything else, I'll let you know when it happens."

Parsons, having missed part of the OTAs due to a flight cancellation, did eventually arrive at the facility. Despite his intermittent attendance, Jones was unfazed, emphasizing that such situations are part and parcel of the business. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer expressed confidence that Parsons would attend the mandatory minicamp, noting that they have maintained good communication throughout the process.

Equally pivotal is Trevon Diggs, who is recuperating from a knee surgery that ended his season prematurely. Although Diggs has not been present at the OTAs, the Cowboys are monitoring his recovery and anticipate his participation in the mandatory sessions next week. Stephen Jones mentioned the team's satisfaction with Diggs' rehabilitation progress but admitted there is still no clear timetable for his full return to the field.

The Cowboys' cornerback position remains uncertain with several players, including Josh Butler and third-round pick Shavon Revel Jr., also recovering from major injuries. The absence of these key players has necessitated adjustments, with DaRon Bland moving inside to play slot cornerback. While Bland prefers playing outside, where he excelled in 2023, the team's mantra under Schottenheimer to "compete every day" will define the lineup until the injured players return.

In summation, as the Cowboys gear up for their mandatory minicamp, all eyes will be on the attendance and health of Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs, along with the depth and adaptability of their cornerback lineup.
