In a surprising turn of events, actor Ezra Miller, known for their roles in "The Flash" and the "Fantastic Beasts" franchise, has been quietly replaced in the second season of the Prime Video animated series "Invincible." Miller, who voiced the character D.A. Sinclair in season 1, has been replaced by actor Eric Bauza for the villain's return in a nightmare sequence during the latest episode, "I'm Not Going Anywhere".

Miller's character, D.A. Sinclair, a deranged scientist who transforms humans into robots known as ReAnimen, was defeated in the previous season. However, Sinclair's reappearance in a nightmare sequence has taken on a new voice with actor Eric Bauza taking over the role. Bauza is renowned for his voice acting credits in popular shows like "X-Men '97" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

The controversial actor, who has recently faced a series of arrests and allegations, including assault, abuse, grooming children, disorderly conduct, and harassment, has been at the center of heated debates. In response to the controversies, some charges against Miller have been dropped through plea deals in multiple states. In a statement provided to EW, Miller expressed remorse for their past behavior and affirmed their commitment to ongoing treatment for their mental health issues.

The controversies also stirred discussions regarding Miller's involvement in the upcoming superhero film "The Flash." While calls were made for their removal from the project, director Andy Muschietti has chosen to stand by the embattled actor, stating that there are no plans for recasting Miller in future iterations. The press tour for "The Flash" predominantly focused on other aspects, such as Michael Keaton's return as Batman.

Based on the critically acclaimed Skybound/Image comic of the same name, "Invincible" is created by Robert Kirkman, known for his work on "The Walking Dead." The series reunites Kirkman with actors Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, and Michael Cudlitz, among others. The show follows teenager Mark Grayson (played by Yeun) as he discovers that his father (J.K. Simmons) is the most powerful superhero on Earth.

Representatives for Prime Video and Miller have been approached for comment on the actor's replacement in "Invincible" season 2. As fans continue to tune in to see how the show progresses, the news of Miller's replacement adds an unexpected twist to the ongoing narrative.
