In the upcoming action film "Road House," Conor McGregor brings his real-life fighting experience to the screen. The MMA fighter turned actor reveals that the fight scenes in the movie were far from fake, despite the presence of stunt doubles.

Speaking at the New York City premiere of "Road House" on Tuesday, McGregor, 35, admits, "It wasn't fake fighting. As a man who fights for a living, it was very, very real. There were real shots landed." He goes on to mention that he exchanged real blows with his co-star Jake Gyllenhaal and the stuntmen on set also took some heavy hits.

McGregor plays an antagonist opposite Gyllenhaal's character, Dalton, a former UFC fighter turned bouncer at a roadhouse in the Florida Keys. The film is a remake of the 1989 movie of the same name, originally starring Patrick Swayze.

Gyllenhaal, 43, echoed McGregor's claims of the authenticity of the fight scenes while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He revealed that McGregor accidentally hit him in the face during one take, highlighting the intensity of their on-screen fights. Gyllenhaal also praised McGregor's guidance in making the fight scenes look more real, with advice on positioning and hand movements.

Despite these accidental blows, both actors had a positive experience working together. McGregor expressed his appreciation for the realism depicted in the movie, saying, "I've not seen a movie like that where the shots are so real because they were real. So I had a great time doing it."

"Road House" also features an ensemble cast, including Jessica Williams, Post Malone, Daniela Melchior, Lukas Gage, Billy Magnussen, and Darren Barnet. The film will be available for streaming on Prime Video this Thursday.

The combination of McGregor's authentic fighting skills and Gyllenhaal's commitment to realism promises an exhilarating cinematic experience. Fans of the original "Road House" and action movie enthusiasts will surely be anticipating this remake with great excitement.
