**Commanders’ Ekeler Diagnosed with Concussion after Victory Over Bengals**
Commanders running back Austin Ekeler suffered a concussion during the second half of Monday night's game against the Bengals. Ekeler did not make the trip to Arizona with his team afterward, according to head coach Dan Quinn.
Instead of traveling to the West Coast for the upcoming game against the Cardinals, Ekeler returned to Ashburn, Virginia. He will begin treatment under the concussion protocol there. Quinn also noted that Ekeler sustained a laceration on his ear during the game.
Ekeler, who is in his debut season with the Commanders, managed to make a significant impact before his injury. He recorded three carries for 35 yards and a touchdown, along with two receptions totaling 22 yards. Additionally, Ekeler had a notable 62-yard kickoff return at the start of the second half, which set the stage for Washington's fourth touchdown of the game.
