**Mixed Injury News for Key Colts Players Ahead of Titans Game**

The Indianapolis Colts are navigating a blend of injury news as they prepare for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans. Quarterback Anthony Richardson looks set to return from an oblique injury, while receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is unexpectedly listed as questionable with a back issue. On the other hand, running back Jonathan Taylor has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.

Richardson, who missed the Colts' loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, has made significant progress, according to head coach Shane Steichen. "He had huge strides this week, for sure," Steichen said. Richardson was observed making dynamic movements and throwing on the run during practice sessions, indicating his readiness to rejoin the team. He also took most of the first-team reps, a clear sign he’s on track to start, unlike last week when backup Joe Flacco filled in.

In a twist, Michael Pittman Jr. returned to practice on Friday, despite earlier reports suggesting he might miss multiple games due to his back injury. Pittman, who has been grappling with the issue for several weeks, appeared to exacerbate the injury during the game against Jacksonville. However, he was seen catching passes and running routes in individual drills, leaving the door open for a possible appearance on Sunday. "I want to be out there for everybody in [the locker room]," Pittman expressed, though he acknowledged that nothing is set in stone. Steichen added, "He's feeling really good, so we'll see where that goes."

Pittman has led the Colts in receiving yards for the past three seasons, recording a career-high 1,152 yards in 2023. This season, however, his performance might be hindered by the back issue, reflected in his average of 4.4 receptions per game—the lowest since his rookie season in 2020.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Taylor, the NFL's 2021 rushing champion, will miss his second game in a row due to an ankle sprain. Without practicing for the last two weeks, Taylor's absence paves the way for backup Trey Sermon to start in his stead.
