**Major Upsets Shake Up College Football Rankings in Week 13**

The college football landscape witnessed dramatic changes in Week 13, as more than half a dozen ranked teams faced unexpected defeats. These results have created a challenging scenario for voters and the College Football Playoff selection committee, who must now reconsider the top 25 standings.

Over the weekend, eight teams from the previous AP Top 25 poll suffered losses. Notably, three teams from the top 10 and seven from the top 18 were defeated. This has led to a significant reshuffle, particularly affecting teams such as Alabama, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, which all fell to unranked opponents.

Despite the upheaval, the top four positions in the AP poll remain unchanged. The big shifts, however, began with Indiana, which dropped five spots to No. 10 following its first season loss to Ohio State. As a result, Notre Dame moved up to the No. 5 spot, joining the top five teams which include unanimous No. 1 Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, and Penn State.

Alabama experienced a steep decline, falling from No. 7 to No. 13 after a 24-3 defeat at Oklahoma. Ole Miss also saw a significant drop, from No. 9 to No. 15, after losing to Florida. Texas A&M, after its loss to Auburn, slipped from No. 15 to No. 20. These setbacks have left the SEC with just three teams in the top 10, though Georgia and Tennessee improved their standings, moving up to No. 6 and No. 7, respectively.

Arizona State made one of the largest leaps in the rankings, climbing to No. 14 following a narrow 28-23 victory over BYU. Conversely, BYU fell five spots to No. 19, and Colorado dropped to No. 23 after losing to Kansas. Remarkably, the Big 12 now has four teams ranked between No. 14 and No. 23, setting the stage for complex tiebreaker scenarios as the conference nears the end of the regular season with seven teams still vying for the title game.

In other movements, Washington State exited the top 25 after a loss to Oregon State, paving the way for Missouri to re-enter the rankings.

Here is a look at the updated AP Top 25 poll, acknowledging the major shifts and upsets that have redefined the rankings in the wake of Week 13.
