The Cleveland Browns' 53-man roster is far from finalized as the team gears up for the regular season. With anticipated waiver moves, possible trades, and potential signings of veteran players, the makeup of the roster could see significant changes in the coming days.

At the center of these roster adjustments is the quarterback position. The Browns currently have four quarterbacks on the roster, including Tyler Huntley and Jameis Winston. However, it's unlikely that the team will keep all four QBs into the regular season. The Browns are actively looking to trade one of their veteran quarterbacks, with Huntley being a prime candidate. If a trade agreement cannot be reached, the team may consider outright cutting Huntley and potentially bringing him back on the practice squad.

Another player who could be on the bubble is undrafted free agent rookie Javion Cohen. Currently not on the 53-man roster, Cohen could be the likely cut candidate once Michael Dunn, who is recovering from a non-football injury, returns to practice and is placed on the roster. Dunn's experience and reliability along the offensive line make him a valuable asset for the Browns, and therefore, his return would likely result in Cohen being released.

Linebacker Tony Fields II is in a precarious position as well. While he brings value to the team on special teams, Fields II lost his starting job during the summer and has just one year left on his contract. With two younger and more explosive linebackers in Mohamoud Diabate and Nathaniel Watson also capable of contributing on special teams, Fields II could find himself on the outside looking in as the Browns navigate post-initial roster transactions.

Safety D'Anthony Bell, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent, faces potential jeopardy due to a shin injury that sidelined him for the entire training camp. With an existing surplus of cornerbacks and the possibility of bringing back vested special teamers, the safety room could see a reduction in numbers, leaving Bell vulnerable. However, Bell's strong contributions on special teams may work in his favor and provide him with a saving grace.

As the Browns continue to make moves to refine their roster, it is clear that changes are imminent. With waiver wire transactions, potential trades, and the reinstatement of key players, these uncertainties highlight the fluid nature of roster construction in the NFL. The coming hours or days will shed light on the fate of the players on the bubble, as the Browns strive to assemble the strongest possible 53-man roster for the upcoming season.
