In a series of player moves, the Cincinnati Bengals have made some roster adjustments ahead of the upcoming training camp. Placed on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list are cornerback DJ Ivey and defensive tackle Devonnsha Maxwell. Additionally, tight end Erick All Jr. has been placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury (NFI) list.
While the exact nature of Maxwell's injury remains undisclosed, it was no surprise that Ivey and All were placed on injury lists due to their recovery from anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears suffered during the 2023 football season. Ivey sustained his injury while playing in the NFL, while All's injury occurred during his college career at Iowa.
As the regular season approaches, there is a realistic possibility that one or both of these players will begin the season on injury lists. Ivey is likely to start on the PUP list, while All is expected to be placed on the NFI list. This would unfortunately keep them out of action for the early part of the regular season.
Fans and teammates alike remain hopeful for the recovery of all three players. The Cincinnati Bengals organization will be eagerly anticipating their return to the practice fields at Paycor Stadium in the near future.
