Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has taken "full responsibility" for his involvement in a six-vehicle accident that occurred in Dallas on Saturday. The incident resulted in multiple injuries and left a 4-year-old boy visibly shaken and crying, according to reports.

Police in Dallas have confirmed that they are searching for the 23-year-old Rice as a suspected driver who was allegedly participating in a high-speed race between a Corvette and a Lamborghini. The crash resulted in four people suffering minor injuries, with two individuals being hospitalized and two others treated at the scene.

In a statement shared on his social media accounts, Rice expressed remorse and pledged to cooperate with the authorities. "Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday's accident," the Chiefs star said. "I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday's accident."

According to TMZ, Rice admitted his involvement in the crash through a text message to the company that owned the Lamborghini he leased. The text reportedly stated that Rice was driving the Lamborghini at the time of the accident and that a friend was driving the Corvette, which Rice owns. The drivers of both vehicles fled the scene without stopping to check on the injured parties.

The crash, captured on dashcam video obtained by WFAA, showed the moment the two speeding cars lost control and collided with other vehicles. Witnesses reported seeing the occupants of the Corvette and Lamborghini leaving the scene and walking along the side of the expressway while emergency responders attended to the victims.

Rice, a native of North Richland Hills, Texas, was reportedly at a bar/restaurant called Local Tap & Table with friends shortly before the crash. As the situation unfolds, both the Chiefs and the NFL are closely monitoring the circumstances surrounding Rice's involvement.

Rashee Rice, who was instrumental in helping the Chiefs win Super Bowl 2024 against the San Francisco 49ers, has been known for his impressive performances on the field. As a second-round pick out of SMU in the 2023 NFL Draft, Rice set a record for the most postseason receptions by a rookie with 26 catches.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and more information is expected to be released as authorities gather further evidence.
