### Chiefs Stars Mahomes and Kelce Hit by Home Burglaries
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce have been making headlines on the field, propelling their team to a flawless 9-0 record so far this season. Despite not reaching their previous statistical performances, the duo’s success has the Chiefs eyeing another promising playoff run.
However, off the field, both Mahomes and Kelce are grappling with unsettling news. In early October, their homes were targeted in a series of burglaries. According to police reports relayed by NBC News' Meriam Bouarrouj and Tim Stelloh, Mahomes's home in Belton, Missouri, and Kelce's residence in Leawood, Kansas, were broken into just hours apart on October 6 and 7.
These incidents resulted in a significant theft from Kelce, with $20,000 in cash reported stolen. On Wednesday, Mahomes shared his frustrations over the situation. "Obviously it's frustrating, disappointing," he said in a statement to NBC News' David K. Li. "I can't get into too many of the details because the investigation is still ongoing. But obviously it's something that you don't want to happen to, really anybody, but obviously yourself."
As the Chiefs prepare for their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, the team and its star players remain focused on maintaining their undefeated record. Despite the off-field challenges, Mahomes and Kelce continue to drive their team toward another successful playoff campaign.
