The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up their three-day rookie minicamp at their team facility, with a total of 74 players taking the field. This camp served as an opportunity for the rookies to acclimate to the Chiefs' style of play before the start of the offseason practices.

Head Coach Andy Reid expressed his satisfaction with the rookies' performance, stating, "Good to have the rookies in here. I think they did a nice job. It was good work, and a good introduction for these guys." He emphasized the importance of getting the players back into the rhythm of football after a period of limited action.

The participants at the rookie camp included the team's seven draft picks, 17 undrafted free agents, eight rookie camp-eligible players already on the roster, four veteran tryout players, and 38 rookie tryout participants. The rookies, from draft picks to tryout players, expressed their gratitude for the chance to be a part of the Chiefs organization. Hunter Nourzad, a rookie offensive lineman, described the experience as "surreal" and "breathtaking," while Jared Wiley, a rookie tight end, expressed his desire to learn and improve.

The camp began with a special dinner, where the rookies had the opportunity to interact with Chiefs alumni and coaching staff. Chiefs Chairman & CEO Clark Hunt and President Mark Donovan welcomed the rookies into the Chiefs family during their remarks at the dinner.

Throughout the three days of camp, several players stood out with impressive performances. Wide receiver Phillip Brooks, a rookie undrafted free agent signee, made multiple receptions, including a remarkable catch during 11-on-11 drills. Rookie tight end Jared Wiley also had a solid practice, displaying his skills with a strong catch over the middle.

Other notable performances came from wide receiver Jaaron Hayek, who consistently made impactful catches, and defensive back Myles Sims, who broke up a pass during 7-on-7 drills. The rookies displayed their talents and left a positive impression on the coaching staff.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, the participants remained focused and managed to complete their on-field drills. Rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy showcased his skills with multiple catches, including an impressive grab deep down the field. Running back Hassan Hall demonstrated his speed and agility, while cornerback Kamal Hadden made an exceptional interception during red zone drills.

The Chiefs' rookie minicamp showcased the dedication and talent of the young players vying for a spot on the team. The coaching staff will now evaluate the performances and determine which rookies will progress to the next stages of offseason training.
