### Chiefs Await Diagnosis on Rashee Rice's Injury Fears
The Kansas City Chiefs are anxiously awaiting news regarding wide receiver Rashee Rice's injury status. Head coach Andy Reid addressed the situation in his Monday press conference but was unable to provide a definitive diagnosis. "As far as Rashee's injury goes, we're still testing him on things here," Reid stated. "So, I don't have a definite [diagnosis] for you right now. But we will get it to you. He's not going to be available, obviously, this week. So we're going to make sure we get all the tests that need to be done, done. And then we'll let you know on that."
Rice, a second-round pick from last year's draft, is feared to have torn his ACL. The injury occurred after quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw an interception during the first half of Sunday’s victorious game against the Chargers.
In just the first three games of this season, Rice emerged as Mahomes' primary target, posting an impressive 24 receptions for 288 yards and scoring two touchdowns. His absence could represent a significant setback for the Chiefs’ offensive strategy.
With Rice sidelined and Hollywood Brown already out, the Chiefs will have to depend on their remaining receiving corps. Currently, the active 53-man roster includes Xavier Worthy, Mecole Hardman, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Justin Watson, and Skye Moore. Additionally, the practice squad features Justyn Ross, Nikko Remigio, and Montrell Washington—players who may need to step up in Rice’s absence.
The team is holding its breath as further tests are conducted, hoping for more clarity on Rice's condition soon.
