**Bears Roster Shake-Up: Billings and Jones Placed on Injured Reserve**

The Chicago Bears have announced significant changes to their roster following injuries to key players. On Thursday, the team placed defensive tackle Andrew Billings and cornerback Jaylon Jones on injured reserve after both were hurt in last Sunday's game against Arizona.

Billings, who recently underwent surgery for a pectoral muscle injury, is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season. Defensive coordinator Eric Washington expressed the impact of this loss, highlighting Billings' physical presence and leadership on the field. "Andrew is just a big physical guy. He's elevated his game this year in terms of being able to affect the quarterback," Washington said via ESPN. "He can play from his position to the sidelines, so there's no replacing Andrew."

Jones, suffering from a shoulder injury, has a slight chance of returning in four games. Despite the setback, Washington voiced his confidence in the players who will fill in the voids. "We'll step up behind him, but it's something you don't replace a person like that. A pro like that, but I have tremendous confidence in the players that will step into that position and give us a chance to go out and do the things that we need to do," he added.

In response to these developments, the Bears have promoted second-year pro Zacch Pickens to a starting role alongside Gervon Dexter Sr. To maintain their 53-man roster, safety Tarvarius Moore has been signed from the practice squad, and it is anticipated that offensive lineman Ryan Bates will be activated off injured reserve soon.

To fill Moore’s vacated spot on the 16-man practice squad, the Bears signed safety JT Woods, a move made after a successful workout session yesterday. These changes mark a critical adjustment period for the team as they look to navigate the remainder of the season with a reshuffled lineup.
