**Harbaugh Returns After Illness as Chargers Lead Broncos**
In Sunday’s game against the Broncos, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh had to momentarily leave the field due to an illness. Initially heading to the blue sideline medical tent and later to the locker room, Harbaugh’s return to the sideline was uncertain, prompting Los Angeles to label him as questionable to return. During his absence, defensive coordinator Jesse Minter stepped in as interim head coach.
A critical moment arose when the Chargers faced fourth-and-goal at Denver's 2-yard line. With Harbaugh still away, the decision was made to have Cameron Dicker kick a 20-yard field goal, putting Los Angeles ahead with a 3-0 lead. Fortunately for the team, Harbaugh reappeared on the sideline in time to witness the Chargers' second drive, which culminated in a 38-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Justin Herbert to rookie running back Kimani Vidal. This reception marked Vidal's first touch in the NFL and extended the Chargers' lead to 10-0.
The game saw other notable injuries, including Chargers receiver Ladd McConkey, who is undergoing evaluation for a head injury, and fellow receiver Quentin Johnston, who is questionable to return due to an ankle injury. Adding to the injury report, Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II is also being assessed for a concussion.
