In a recent concert held in Philadelphia, iconic rock legend Bruce Springsteen reassured fans that he has no plans to retire anytime soon. Despite ongoing health concerns during his current world tour with the E Street Band, the 74-year-old musician declared that they are not quitting and dismissed the idea of a farewell tour.
During the concert, captured in footage shared on social media, Springsteen expressed his determination to keep entertaining his loyal audience. "We've been around for 50 f**king years and we ain't quitting," he declared, adding, "We ain't doing no farewell tour bullsh*t. No farewell tour for the E Street Band." Springsteen humorously questioned the concept of bidding farewell, asking, "Farewell to what? Thousands of people screaming your name?"
The legendary musician's ongoing health concerns have led to some rescheduled shows on the current tour, which began in February 2023. In May, Springsteen had to postpone concerts in three European cities due to vocal issues, and later in September, he rescheduled over 20 shows while recovering from "peptic ulcer disease." Previous rescheduling was also mentioned earlier due to undisclosed health issues.
The current world tour, set to conclude in November, will coincide with the streaming debut of a new documentary film titled "Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band." The documentary, which promises to offer viewers the most comprehensive look ever at the creation of their legendary live performances, will be available for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu this fall.
