### Artem Chigvintsev Faces Financial Struggles Amid Domestic Violence Allegations Involving Nikki Garcia

Artem Chigvintsev, well-known for his role on "Dancing With The Stars," asserts he is facing significant financial hardship due to the fallout from domestic violence accusations involving his estranged wife, Nikki Garcia. The professional dancer claims that his arrest following an alleged altercation with Garcia has severely disrupted his income stream.

The couple's relationship began to deteriorate two years after their lavish Paris wedding in 2022. Court documents filed on October 31 in Napa Superior Court reveal that Chigvintsev was dismissed from the latest season of "Dancing With The Stars" because of the domestic violence case. He lamented the loss of substantial income and pointed to the emotional toll and stigma from the incident, which has hindered his employment opportunities.

"I typically start work in November, continuing for 20 weekends," Chigvintsev explained. However, following the arrest and the circulation of his mugshot based on what he claims to be false allegations by Garcia, his professional engagements suffered drastically.

Beyond the television show, Chigvintsev noted that he was removed from a faculty list on a website, resulting in a loss of more than $100,000. He also lamented losing revenue from social media promotions, which he claimed Garcia continues to benefit from amid her alleged lies to the police.

Chigvintsev is seeking financial redress from Garcia, including out-of-pocket expenses and rent, as he has been displaced from their home. He asserts in court documents that it was Garcia, not him, who was the aggressor in the domestic dispute on August 29, which led to his arrest. He provided photographic evidence of injuries, including bloody scratches on his elbow and hands and marks behind his ear, which he attributed to Garcia's actions.

His attorney, Ilona Antonyan, confirmed that Chigvintsev had reached out to law enforcement on the night of the incident to seek protection from Garcia's ongoing aggression. During this call, Garcia reportedly accused him of trying to sabotage her career.

In September, Chigvintsev expressed relief and gratitude after the domestic violence charges against him were dismissed. He acknowledged the difficult journey and stressed his dedication to focusing on their son Matteo, describing fatherhood as "the greatest blessing."

The judge ruled in favor of shared custody of Matteo, with a 120-minute hearing on October 15 ensuring that Chigvintsev and Garcia must co-parent without conflict. Despite Garcia's initial request for full custody and for Chigvintsev to undergo supervised visitation and anger management, the judge opted for a more balanced approach.

Both were ordered to attend parenting classes and individual therapy to resolve their differences and demonstrate their co-parenting capabilities. Chigvintsev firmly denied any reconciliation with Garcia, asserting that he had not contacted her since early October.

Garcia filed for divorce in September, days after Chigvintsev's arrest on August 29. The dancer was released the same day on a $25,000 bail, and by September 24, Napa County District Attorney Alison Haley announced that no charges would be pressed against him.

As their divorce proceedings continue, a trial has been scheduled for December, expected to span two days, which will further determine the future dynamics between Chigvintsev and Garcia.
