### Ravens Fly High with Fourth Straight Win, Dominating on Both Offense and Defense
The Baltimore Ravens are riding high after securing a thrilling 30-23 victory over the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Ravens’ running back Derrick Henry humorously deflected attention from his game-sealing 27-yard run, saying with a smile, "Shush, shush, shush, I don't know what you're talking about." Yet, it’s become clear that Baltimore’s success is no longer a secret.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson and the explosive Ravens’ offense have powered the team to a 4-2 record, keeping them tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers atop the AFC North. The Ravens showed their mettle by scoring on their final five drives and taking a knee to run out the clock. This closing drive displayed the team’s unwavering confidence and ability to execute under pressure.
Baltimore's offense has already amassed a staggering 2,722 yards, the most in the NFL and in franchise history over the first six games. Jackson is putting up MVP-caliber numbers, throwing for over 300 yards in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. Wide receiver Zay Flowers also shone brightly, racking up a career-high 132 receiving yards, all in the first half, while tight end Mark Andrews delivered a season-high 66 yards and scored his first touchdown in nearly a year.
Derrick Henry has also been a revelation, becoming only the second player in NFL history to rush for over 600 yards and eight-plus touchdowns in his first six games with a new team, matching Eric Dickerson's feat from 1983. Offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley praised the unit’s capabilities, saying, “We have all the pieces necessary. Smart physical guys [who] can do their job at a high level.”
Jackson remains the driving force, becoming the first NFL player to achieve over 1,500 passing yards and 400 rushing yards in the first six games of a season for the second time – the first was during his 2019 MVP season. But he’s not doing it alone, distributing the ball to a well-rounded arsenal of playmakers. Flowers has posted the first back-to-back 100-yard receiving games by a Ravens wide receiver in eight years, and Henry leads the league with 704 rushing yards.
“No matter the situation, our versatility makes us a nightmare for defenses,” said tight end Mark Andrews. “We’re aiming to be the well-oiled machine we know we can be.”
Jackson, who is one of just three quarterbacks this season to surpass 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns, has made it clear that Baltimore’s offense is far from one-dimensional. Nine different Ravens have caught at least one pass, with seven scoring touchdowns, demonstrating the team's explosive and diverse offensive prowess.
Two weeks ago, Jackson and Henry connected on a crucial 51-yard run to secure an overtime victory in Cincinnati, and they did it again on Sunday with a 27-yard run that put the Ravens in a prime position to win. Despite their remarkable performance, Jackson remains grounded, saying, "[We're] just proving we can win games... [There's] always room for improvement."
The Ravens are averaging 29.5 points per game and have become the first team since the 1971 Raiders to rush for 150 yards in each of their first six games. Baltimore is clearly on a roll, blending humility with unmatched execution to emerge as one of the NFL's most potent teams.
