### Ravens Strengthen Offensive Lineup by Acquiring Wide Receiver Diontae Johnson from Panthers

The Baltimore Ravens have made a strategic move by acquiring wide receiver Diontae Johnson from the Carolina Panthers. This deal, confirmed by the Ravens on Tuesday, is pending Johnson's successful completion of a physical examination.

According to multiple reports, the trade involves an exchange of draft picks. The Ravens will send a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft to the Panthers, while Carolina will reciprocate with a sixth-round pick in the same draft, alongside Johnson.

The addition of Johnson provides a boost to a Ravens offense that already ranks among the league's best. Baltimore leads the NFL with an average of 452.1 yards per game and is second only to the Detroit Lions in scoring, with 30.3 points per game. Johnson will join a talented receiving group headlined by 2023 first-round pick Zay Flowers and 2021 first-round pick Rashod Bateman, who has impressed this season with 22 receptions for 422 yards and three touchdowns over eight games.

Johnson, a former Pro Bowl player with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was in his first season with the Panthers. During his seven games with Carolina, he was the team's leading receiver with 30 catches for 357 yards and three touchdowns. The move shifts him from a struggling Panthers squad, which has featured quarterbacks Bryce Young and Andy Dalton, to a potent Ravens offense orchestrated by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, who is again in contention for the league's top honor.

The Ravens, who recently experienced an upset loss to the Cleveland Browns, now hold a 5-3 record. They are striving to secure a better position within the AFC playoff race, currently trailing the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs by 2.5 games and the 6-2 Steelers in the AFC North standings.

Looking ahead, the Ravens will host the Denver Broncos this Sunday before facing division rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Steelers in Weeks 10 and 11.
