### Auburn Coach Hugh Freeze Battles Illness, Arrives Late for Kentucky Game

Auburn University’s head football coach Hugh Freeze faced a challenging Saturday, arriving late to Lexington to join his team for their game against Kentucky. Sources revealed that Freeze's delay was due to an illness, possibly stemming from food poisoning, which prevented him from traveling with the Tigers on Friday.

Freeze managed to catch a flight on Saturday morning, aiming to reunite with his team in preparation for the 7:45 p.m. ET kickoff. His absence adds to the turbulence Auburn has been experiencing this season. The Tigers have endured a four-game losing streak since entering SEC play, marking a historic low for the program as they find themselves 0-4 in conference play for the second consecutive year.

Reflecting on the recent struggles, Freeze pointed out the critical moments where the team has faltered. “We seem to not make the right call as coaches or the right play from time to time in critical moments, and that's kind of been the story the whole year,” Freeze commented after Auburn surrendered a 17-6 lead against Missouri, eventually losing 21-17.

As Auburn continues to seek its first SEC victory of the season, Freeze's presence, even under less-than-ideal health conditions, demonstrates his commitment to the team. The Tigers face an uphill battle, but with their coach back at the helm, they hope to turn their season around starting with the game against Kentucky.
