**Chappell Roan Cancels All Things Go Festival Performance for Health Reasons**
Rising artist Chappell Roan has decided to step back from this weekend's All Things Go festival due to feeling overwhelmed. The 26-year-old, who currently has seven songs in the Billboard Top 100, shared the announcement via her Instagram stories, explaining she will not be performing in Washington, D.C., or New York City.
In her heartfelt message, Chappell apologized to her fans, stating, "I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform. Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it. I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding. Be back soon xox."
The festival organizers responded supportively on social media, emphasizing the importance of health and well-being.
Chappell has been in the spotlight recently, not just for her music but also for her candid political views shared in an interview with the Guardian. Her remarks about the upcoming election, and her frustration with both sides of the political spectrum, sparked considerable discussion online. She clarified her stance through a series of TikTok videos, where she confirmed she would be voting for the Democratic nominee, Kamala Harris, but expressed dissatisfaction with the broader political environment: "Obviously, fuck the policies of the right, but also fuck some of the policies on the left. That's why I can't endorse. That's why I can't, like, put my entire name in my entire project behind one."
Chappell Roan has previously opened up about the pressures of her rapid rise to fame. She broke down on stage in North Carolina in June, sharing with her audience the struggle of keeping up with her fast-growing career. Moreover, she addressed the issue of inappropriate fan behavior, asserting that while she understands such behavior can come with the territory, it remains unacceptable and deeply troubling.
In the Guardian interview, she also revealed her ongoing battle with severe depression, for which she is currently seeking therapy, attributing it in part to the drastic changes in her life due to her sudden success.
Fans of Chappell Roan can still look forward to her upcoming shows, as she has scheduled tour dates in Tennessee and is set to perform at the Austin City Limits festival in Texas. Additionally, she will be appearing as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live on 2 November.
