In exciting news for Apple enthusiasts, the tech giant is rumored to be gearing up for the release of a new iPad Pro model featuring an OLED display. According to references found in the iPadOS 17.5 beta, the highly anticipated device could hit the market sooner than expected.

Initially, Apple was set to launch the OLED iPad Pro models in the second half of last year. However, plans were changed, and the new notebooks were announced separately. Since then, the release of the iPad Pro has faced multiple delays, leading to speculation about the actual launch date.

The recent discovery of references to the unreleased iPad Pro and its OLED display technology in the iPadOS 17.5 beta has provided hope for eager Apple users. The beta includes display firmware references for both the 11-inch and 13-inch variants of the iPad Pro, signaling that multiple models will be available for consumers.

Reports have indicated that Apple has enlisted the help of suppliers Samsung and LG to manufacture the OLED displays. However, there have been challenges in meeting the required yields, with Samsung struggling to keep up with demand. As a result, Apple has adjusted its order ratio, giving LG a larger share of business for the 13-inch panels.

In addition to the OLED display, the iPadOS 17.5 beta also suggests the introduction of a new Apple Pencil with "squeeze" functionality. The current Apple Pencil only supports Double Tap, but the upcoming upgrade will reportedly include a "LongSqueeze" and "DoubleSqueeze" feature.

While Apple has yet to announce a specific event for the launch of the OLED iPad Pro, industry insiders speculate that the company may reveal the new iPad Pro models during its WWDC 2024 software event. However, considering previous production delays, it remains uncertain if Apple will be able to stick to its projected timeline.

Apple fans eagerly await further updates and an official announcement from the tech giant regarding the release of the highly anticipated iPad Pro with OLED display.
