**Richardson Set to Reclaim Starting QB Role for Colts Against Jets**
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is set to return as the starting quarterback for the team's upcoming game against the New York Jets. Head coach Shane Steichen shared his optimism about Richardson's readiness in a press conference on Friday.
"Phenomenal. He's done a great job," Steichen said, as reported by Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan. "He's shown significant growth over the past two weeks and had an exceptional week of practice. While he’s not a finished product yet, his progress has been remarkable."
Richardson's season has seen some ups and downs, particularly with a completion rate of 44.4 percent. Steichen acknowledged that while Richardson's accuracy has been a concern, the time he spent away from starting may contribute positively to his performance moving forward. "Obviously, it'll help," Steichen commented, emphasizing the importance of the developmental aspects Richardson has been focusing on.
So far this season, Richardson has passed for 958 yards, recording four touchdowns but also seven interceptions. He has also demonstrated his mobility by rushing for 242 yards and adding another touchdown on the ground in six games.
As Richardson prepares to lead the Colts against the Jets this weekend, both coaches and fans are hopeful that his recent improvements will translate into on-field success.
