Alysa Liu, Youngest U.S. Champion, Announces Exciting Return to Competitive Figure Skating

In an exhilarating announcement, figure skating prodigy Alysa Liu has revealed her plans to make a comeback to the sport after a brief retirement. At just 18 years old, Liu has already made waves in the figure skating world as a two-time U.S. champion and a 2022 Olympian.
Liu first stunned the skating community in 2019 when she became the youngest woman ever to claim the title of U.S. Championships at the tender age of 13. Her extraordinary talent was further showcased at the ISU World Figure Skating Championships in 2022, where she clinched the bronze medal.
After taking a break from competitive skating, Liu expressed her joy in returning to the ice. "The time away from skating was beneficial for me, and I'm incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter with a fresh perspective," shared Liu.
Liu's extraordinary jumping abilities have garnered much attention throughout her career. At just 12 years old, she made history by becoming the youngest skater to successfully land a triple Axel in international competition at the 2018 Asian Open. Furthermore, Liu became the first U.S. woman to execute a quadruple Lutz in competition at the 2019 Junior Grand Prix USA.
With her sights set on the future, Liu is determined to compete in the upcoming 2024-25 season.
