### Adele Temporarily Deaf After Excruciating Ear Infection
Adele, the renowned singer known for hits like "Hello," has disclosed that she has been suffering from an excruciating ear infection for the past eight weeks, which has left her temporarily deaf in one ear. The 36-year-old artist described the pain as 'worse than childbirth' during a recent performance, sharing her challenging experience with her audience.
The ear infection, caused by a rare water bacteria, was contracted during her ten-day residency in Munich in August. Adele elaborated that she had initially been prescribed the wrong antibiotics, which did little to alleviate her suffering, and it wasn't until a few days later that she received the correct medication.
“I have an ear infection, which is pretty grim," Adele said. "I've never had one before. It's the most painful thing that's ever happened to me. I wanted to chop my ear off a few times," she admitted, reflecting on the intensity of the pain she endured before the right treatment began to take effect.
Despite the initial setback with incorrect antibiotics, Adele eventually found relief, but not before considering drastic measures due to the severity of her discomfort. "I'm no longer in pain, which is great, but I'm a bit deaf in my left ear," she revealed to her fans, offering a candid glimpse into her ordeal.
The singer, who shares a 12-year-old son named Angelo with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, is nearing the end of her two-year "Weekends With Adele" residency in Las Vegas. Now engaged to sports agent Rich Paul, Adele also made a surprising revelation about her future plans. She intends to create a special room in her new mansion dedicated to rescuing cats.
"I'm absolutely going to become an emergency foster cat mum once I move into my new house," Adele said. “I've created a room that my fiancé doesn’t even know exists, filled with crates and supplies," she added, humorously noting that her secret might be out now that she has shared it publicly.
As Adele continues to recover from her ear infection, her fans eagerly look forward to her return to the stage, hearing her once again not just through her powerful voice, but also through her heartfelt anecdotes and personal stories.
