**Adele Turns Down $100 Million Offer for Countryside Estate**

Nestled in the tranquil town of East Grinstead, West Sussex, one of Adele's homes stands as a picturesque escape from the city hustle. In 2017, the renowned singer, famous for hits like "Someone Like You," acquired Ridge Hill Manor, an elegant eight-bedroom Tudor-style mansion. The property boasts exposed beam ceilings, large inglenook fireplaces, a tennis court, and three guest cottages. However, it’s not these features that recently caught the eye of an unexpected group.

Alan Carr, a close friend and comedian, revealed to The Mirror that the Church of Scientology attempted to purchase Adele’s estate. Carr stated, "Adele has a secret house in East Grinstead and the Scientologists tried to buy it off her." When Adele initially secured the mansion in 2017, insiders indicated that her choice was driven by a desire for a quiet and low-profile environment to raise her son, Angelo, away from the spotlight.

East Grinstead holds historical significance for Scientology. The town is home to Saint Hill Manor, an impressive country house dating back to 1792 and once the residence of Scientology's founder, L. Ron Hubbard. Since 1959, when Hubbard made it his home until its role as the global headquarters ceased in 1967, the manor has remained under the Church's ownership. Known for hosting high-profile events such as the annual Saint Hill Gala, the manor attracts Scientologists from around the world, including celebrities like Tom Cruise, who stayed there during the pandemic lockdown. These events have often stirred mixed feelings among the local community.

Despite her divorce from Simon Konecki in 2020, Adele continues to reside at Ridge Hill Manor. Her determination to stay in her West Sussex home appears unwavering, regardless of the high monetary offers or persistent interest that comes her way.
