In a stunning display of power, New York Yankees' Aaron Judge blasted his way into the record books once again, hitting his 50th and 51st home runs of the season during Sunday's 10-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies. With these remarkable feats, Judge is now on pace to break his own American League home run record.

Judge wasted no time in making his mark, launching his 50th homer off a 0-2 changeup from Austin Gomber in the very first inning. This electrifying shot marked Judge's 18th first-inning home run this season, matching the legendary Alex Rodriguez's record from 2001. Undeterred, Judge crushed his 51st home run in the seventh inning, following a solo homer from Juan Soto, and then had Giancarlo Stanton joining the home run parade with a long ball of his own.

The two home runs on Sunday have propelled Judge on a trajectory to reach an astonishing 63 home runs this season, surpassing his own AL record of 62 set in 2022. It is worth mentioning that Judge had previously achieved the 50-homer milestone in his rookie year in 2017, ultimately finishing with an impressive 52 home runs.

Judge's impressive feats also earned him an esteemed place among the baseball elite. He became only the fifth player in baseball history to hit 50 home runs in three different seasons. This exclusive group includes the likes of the aforementioned Alex Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, and the legendary Babe Ruth.

Rodriguez, a prominent figure in the sport, had achieved the 50-homer milestone twice during his time with the Texas Rangers in 2001 and 2002, and later hit a remarkable 54 home runs while playing for the Yankees in 2007. Sammy Sosa had an impressive four-season streak from 1998 to 2001, while Mark McGwire accomplished the same feat from 1996 to 1999, including his unforgettable 70-homer season in 1998. Lastly, the illustrious Babe Ruth had consecutive 50-homer seasons in 1920 and 1921, as well as in 1927 and 1928, all while donning the iconic New York Yankees' uniform.

As Aaron Judge continues to dominate the baseball scene with his jaw-dropping power, fans and analysts alike are eagerly awaiting the outcome of this historic season. With his relentless display of strength, Judge is set to leave an indelible mark on the game and etch his name even deeper into the annals of baseball history.
