In a surprising development, former AEW wrestler Brian Pillman Jr. has joined WWE after four years and is now known as Lexis King on the WWE roster. King has quickly made waves in NXT, and WWE legend Shawn Michaels recently opened up about how King has been adapting to the new structure.

During an NXT Deadline media call, Michaels discussed King's progress. He revealed that King understands that he has been thrown into the "deep end" and is doing everything he can to stay afloat. Michaels praised King's persistence and emphasized that he is fully committed to working with WWE.

"He's been working with us. He asks a lot of questions. He's a hungry kid. I think he's someone who has adapted and adjusted to the structure that we have in NXT in a really positive way," Michaels stated. He further added, "I think he is someone that will be, I think, a prime example of what NXT can do for you because he is someone that did need that structure."

Michaels also expressed his anticipation for King's upcoming match against Carmelo Hayes at the NXT Deadline event on Saturday. He admitted being eager to see what King has up his sleeves. "We want to see what he's got. We believe there's a lot of potential there, and again, not to say that this whole career will rest on this performance by any stretch, but look, I think we all know the lineage, right?"

King's WWE journey began on October 24 at the NXT Halloween Havoc event, where he emerged victorious in a match against Dante Chen. Michaels finds King's dedication intriguing, but acknowledges that he still has a lot to prove in his upcoming match at NXT Deadline.

As fans eagerly await the clash between King and Hayes, the question arises: Does King have what it takes to secure a win? The answer lies in the upcoming event, and only time will tell. Will Lexis King's transition from AEW to WWE prove successful? Share your thoughts below.
