UFC Fight Night 236 Weigh-In Results: Potieria Misses Weight, Headliners On Point

LAS VEGAS - The official weigh-ins for UFC Fight Night 236 took place on Friday, with MMA Junkie providing live coverage from the event. While the headliners had no issues making weight, one fighter failed to meet the required mark.
In the middleweight main event, Jack Hermansson and Joe Pyfer both successfully weighed in. Hermansson tipped the scales at 185 pounds, while Pyfer followed closely behind at 185.5 pounds. The featherweight co-feature saw Andre Fili and Dan Ige each hitting the mark at 146 pounds.
However, it was Ihor Potieria who faced the unfortunate scenario of missing weight for his middleweight fight against Robert Bryczek. Taking the fight on short notice and dropping 20 pounds from his usual light heavyweight division, Potieria initially weighed in at 187.5 pounds. Due to his appearance, the commission did not allow him the opportunity to cut additional weight. As a result, he will be fined a percentage of his purse.

Additionally, it is worth noting that Flowers made weight in the lightweight division on his second attempt, coming in at 156.25 pounds after initially weighing 156.2 pounds. Similarly, Marcos made weight in the bantamweight division on his second try, registering 136.2 pounds after an initial measurement that put him over the limit.
