The quarterback transfer market continues to generate buzz as several high-profile names remain available for potential suitors. With some notable players already finding new landing spots, the focus now shifts to the top quarterbacks still on the market, according to the recent On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

Leading the pack is Cam Ward, who has emerged as the most sought-after option since entering the transfer portal on December 1. Ward, who posted impressive numbers at Washington State, including a stellar 3,736 passing yards in 2023, is set to visit Florida State following previous visits to Miami. The NFL is also a potential destination for Ward, adding another layer of intrigue to his recruitment.

In the second spot is Dante Moore, a highly touted recruit from the 2023 class. Moore recently entered the portal after a stint at UCLA, and he has attracted significant interest. The talented quarterback is scheduled to visit Oregon, where he may potentially fill a developmental role behind newly committed Dillon Gabriel.

Will Howard, who led Kansas State to a Big 12 championship in 2022, is the third-ranked quarterback still available. Despite sharing playing time with a talented freshman this past season, Howard's achievements have caught the attention of several programs. He recently visited Miami and has received interest from USC as well.

Kyle McCord, coming off a strong season as Ohio State's starting quarterback, finds himself in the fourth spot. McCord's recruitment took an unexpected turn when he decided to move on from Nebraska after an official visit. His future destination remains open, with a visit to Syracuse reportedly on the horizon.

Graduate transfer DJ Uiagalelei comes in fifth on the list after an impressive season at Oregon State. Following his transfer from Clemson, Uiagalelei threw for 2,638 yards and 21 touchdowns in 2023, attracting interest from Florida State and Louisville.

Dequan Finn, a standout quarterback for Toledo, secured the sixth spot. Finn, who helped lead Toledo to a conference championship, is exploring his options after a successful season. A visit to Wisconsin took place, but with the Badgers committing to another quarterback, his recruitment continues.

Maalik Murphy, who served as Texas' backup quarterback, entered the portal and has drawn interest from multiple teams, including Southern California, Baylor, Oregon State, and Syracuse, among others. While he won't be part of the Longhorns' College Football Playoff campaign, his potential departure has generated significant attention.

Jordan McCloud, who had an impressive season for James Madison, comes in at number eight. McCloud, a former USF player, threw for 3,413 yards and 32 touchdowns, grabbing attention from pro scouts.

Will Rogers, who excelled under Mike Leach's Air Raid scheme at Mississippi State, finds himself at the ninth spot. Rogers' numbers dipped after a scheme change, prompting him to pursue a transfer. He now has a visit scheduled with Washington as they search for a replacement for Michael Penix Jr.

Finally, AJ Swann, who split playing time at Vanderbilt, has also entered the transfer portal. Swann showcased his skills with 2,731 passing yards and 22 touchdowns over two seasons, catching the eye of several SEC programs, including LSU and South Carolina.

While the quarterback transfer market has seen some big moves already, these top remaining quarterbacks signal that there is still significant talent available. With the transfer window only just over a week old, the excitement is sure to continue as more quarterback dominoes fall and new landing spots are secured.
