In a concerning development for the Tennessee Titans, head coach Mike Vrabel has expressed uncertainty regarding the availability of rookie quarterback Will Levis for their upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Levis suffered a foot injury during Sunday's defeat to the Houston Texans, and his status remains unclear for both practice on Wednesday and the game on Sunday.

Coach Vrabel addressed the situation during a recent interview with Jim Wyatt of the team website, stating, "We'll see. We'll evaluate that through the week, and we'll see how practice goes, and then we'll prepare accordingly and make sure that we give everybody the best opportunity to win the football game. We'll see when he's healthy as they work through treatment today and practice and treatment through the week."

Levis, who injured his left ankle in Week 15 and subsequently missed the following game against the Seattle Seahawks with Ryan Tannehill taking over as the starting quarterback, encountered further misfortune when he injured his right foot during the second quarter of the Texans game. He was eventually carted off to the training room for further evaluation.

If Levis is unable to recover in time, Vrabel confirmed that Ryan Tannehill, the team's veteran signal-caller, will once again step in as the starting quarterback against the Jaguars. The Titans' coaching staff has opted not to call upon backup quarterback Malik Willis in the event of Levis' absence.

As the team closely monitors Levis' progress, Coach Vrabel acknowledged the importance of ensuring the quarterback's full recovery before making any decisions. "Everybody feels a little bit better [physically] after some treatment and time and recovery," he stated. "We'll see who is available and where we can go."

Thus far in his rookie season, Levis has exhibited promise, throwing for 1,808 yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions, with a passer rating of 84.2. However, his performance has been hampered by a significant number of sacks, as he has been brought down by opposing defenses 28 times.

With the Titans vying for a playoff berth, the uncertainty surrounding Levis' availability adds an additional layer of intrigue to their upcoming matchup against the Jaguars. The team will continue to assess his injury throughout the week, taking into account his progress during practice and treatment sessions before determining his potential involvement in Sunday's crucial game.
