The Georgia Bulldogs continued their dominant run in the college football season with a 30-21 victory over the Missouri Tigers on Saturday. The win not only secured their undefeated record but also showcased the impressive performance of their offensive line, particularly center prospect Sedrick Van Pran.

Van Pran, wearing jersey number 63, played a crucial role in the Bulldogs' balanced offensive attack. Quarterback Carson Beck threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns, while the running game amassed 133 yards, averaging four yards per carry. Van Pran's exceptional blocking skills have been a key factor in Georgia's success, rendering him as one of the top center prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class.

In terms of pass protection, Van Pran demonstrated his ability to prevent his assigned defender from reaching the quarterback for a sack. However, he was advised to work on spatial awareness and sustaining blocks until the end of each play. Though he did momentarily lose focus during a double team block, allowing the defender to eventually get involved in the action, Van Pran still showcased his capability to stall opposing pass rushers when properly executing his blocks.

Furthermore, Van Pran's athleticism was evident in the running game. His natural ability to move and navigate in open space was on full display during combo blocks and pulling plays. While he effectively cleared running lanes for his teammates, it was suggested that Van Pran could improve his technique in latching onto defenders and driving them out of the play, which could potentially result in more explosive runs.

Despite some areas for improvement, Van Pran proved himself as an athletically gifted center during the Bulldogs' triumph over the Tigers. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 310 pounds, his size, strength, and movement skills make him an enticing prospect for NFL teams. As a three-year starter and still a junior, Van Pran has ample room for development, making him a viable option for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are seeking a long-term solution at center.

With Mason Cole struggling this season, Van Pran could provide an immediate upgrade once he acclimates to the professional level. Projected as a late first-round or early second-round pick in the upcoming draft, the Steelers may need to consider targeting him in the first round to secure his services, rather than risking him being selected before their second pick.

As the Bulldogs' pursuit for a third consecutive national championship continues, Sedrick Van Pran's consistent and impactful performances have undoubtedly caught the attention of NFL scouts. His blend of size, strength, and athleticism positions him as a promising prospect who could provide stability and talent to any team in need of a center.
