Seattle Seahawks Likely to Take On Dallas Cowboys Without Starting Running Back

The struggling offense of the Seattle Seahawks may face a significant setback as they prepare to go up against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night. Starting running back Kenneth Walker III has been listed as doubtful due to an oblique strain, leaving rookie Zach Charbonnet poised to step into the starting role once again.
Walker sustained the injury on the opening drive of the Seahawks' recent loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11 and has not been able to practice or play since then. Coach Pete Carroll had hoped for Walker's return in time for the Cowboys game following his absence in the team's loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Thursday. However, that is now unlikely.
With Walker sidelined, the Seahawks will once again rely on Charbonnet, a second-round draft pick who has shown promise in recent games. Over the past two games, Charbonnet has accumulated 94 rushing yards on 29 carries and has added an additional 33 yards through 10 receptions. The team's other available tailbacks are DeeJay Dallas and rookie seventh-round pick Kenny McIntosh.
Seattle's offense has been struggling of late, going seven straight quarters without a touchdown and managing to find the end zone just three times in their past four games. The absence of their starting running back only adds to the challenge they will face against a formidable Cowboys defense.
In addition to Walker's doubtful status, the Seahawks have ruled out right guard Phil Haynes due to a toe injury. However, they are expected to have right tackle Abe Lucas back in action. Lucas has been sidelined with a knee injury for the past 10 games but has been listed as a full participant in practice and does not have a game designation.
The Seahawks do have a few other players listed as questionable for the matchup against the Cowboys. Defensive tackle Leonard Williams, tight end Will Dissly, and wide receiver Dee Eskridge are all dealing with varying injuries. However, both Williams and Dissly participated fully in the team's estimated practice report on Wednesday, giving hope that they may be available to play. Wide receiver Dareke Young is listed as doubtful due to an abdomen injury.
As the Seahawks aim to ignite their struggling offense, the absence of Kenneth Walker III may pose a significant challenge against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night. The team relies on the rookie Charbonnet to shoulder the running back duties in what promises to be a crucial matchup for both teams.
