The search for a new head coach for the Seattle Seahawks is well underway as general manager John Schneider approaches the task with the same thoroughness as free agency and the draft. Schneider has reportedly expressed his intention to evaluate "anybody that you can pretty much think of" to potentially replace former coach Pete Carroll. Seattle has already requested interviews with eight candidates who are currently employed by other NFL teams.

One of the candidates, Ejiro Evero, the defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers, interviewed with the Seahawks on Wednesday. Evero's impressive coaching record with the Broncos, where his defense stood out despite a struggling offense, has made him a sought-after head-coaching candidate. He has already interviewed with multiple teams this offseason and brings valuable experience working with notable defensive minds.

Another candidate, Dan Quinn, the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys, is scheduled to interview with Seattle on Thursday. Quinn's defensive units have consistently performed well, but his most recent playoff showing was disappointing. However, his previous experience as head coach of the Atlanta Falcons and his familiarity with the Seahawks organization make him an attractive candidate.

Raheem Morris, the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams, will reportedly interview with the Seahawks on Friday. Morris boasts previous head-coaching experience with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has worked on staffs with successful coaches such as Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay. His endorsement by Seahawks player Bobby Wagner speaks volumes, especially considering the statistical underperformance of the Rams defense this season.

Among the offensive-minded candidates, Ben Johnson, the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, has garnered attention for his work in improving the team's offensive performance. Johnson's ability to develop quarterback Jared Goff and create a balanced offensive attack has caught the eye of several teams, including the Seahawks.

Frank Smith, the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, is another intriguing candidate for Seattle. While he may lack extensive coordinator experience, Smith has received praise for his problem-solving abilities and his teaching skills. He has worked with respected coaches such as Sean Payton, John Fox, and Jon Gruden, which adds to his appeal.

Patrick Graham, the defensive coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders, brings a wealth of experience under defensive-minded coaches. Despite initial struggles with the Dolphins and Giants, Graham's recent success with the Raiders, particularly their strong defensive performance in the later part of the season, has garnered attention from teams like the Seahawks.

Bobby Slowik, the offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans, has shown promise in his work with rising star quarterback C.J. Stroud. Slowik's offensive schemes have produced solid results, and his ability to adapt his coaching style is a valuable asset.

Finally, Mike Kafka, the offensive coordinator for the New York Giants, is the youngest candidate in the mix. Kafka has gained recognition for his work under notable head coaches like Andy Reid and Brian Daboll. Despite a challenging season for the Giants' offense, Kafka's experience with successful offenses, including the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs, makes him an intriguing option.

As the interview process begins, Schneider and the Seahawks organization are looking for a head coach who can maintain the team's culture of success while leading them back to championship contention. With a diverse pool of qualified candidates, Seattle is hoping to find the right leader to guide them in the right direction.
